Last year, when I first heard the news of the possibilities of a university to be built in the Northern Cape I was so surprised and shocked at the same time that they have seen such a need that will change the lives of the people of the province.
Knowing the illiteracy rate of the province myself, and having witnessed the rate of unemployment and the abuse of alcohol that has led to many other diseases; it really made me have hope that my Province is coming alive with possibilities that will keep the youth constructively busy.
It’s true that when people work together in unity towards a certain goal that will be a foundation phase of their road to success and a brighter future, all will be possible. Gladly enough that the Premier, Mrs. Hazel Jenkins did not turn a blind eye or shut her ears towards the matter.
Clearly some people do work for the benefit of their province and people, which will turn be a huge contribution to future generations. A round of applause to the people of the Northern Cape for fighting for what they believed in.
